  2. From Ayodhya, the journey moves on to Chitrakoot, a small town located in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Chitrakoot is believed to be the place where Lord Rama spent a considerable amount of time during his exile. Devotees visit the Ramghat, where Lord Rama and his wife Sita are said to have bathed.

  3. The next stop on the Ramayana Yatra is the city of Allahabad, which is located in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Devotees visit the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of three rivers – the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. It is believed that taking a dip in the Triveni Sangam can purify one's soul.

  4. From Allahabad, the journey moves on to Shringverpur, a small town located in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This is believed to be the place where Lord Rama met his guru, Sage Vashishta.

  6. From Varanasi, the journey moves on to Sita Samahit Sthal, which is located in the state of Bihar. This is believed to be the place where Sita, Lord Rama's wife, entered the earth after her death.

  7. The next stop on the Ramayana Yatra is the city of Bodh Gaya, which is located in the state of Bihar. This is where Lord Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment. Devotees visit the Mahabodhi Temple, which is considered to be one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in the world.

  8. From Bodh Gaya, the journey moves on to Rameshwaram, a town located in the state of Tamil Nadu. This is where Lord Rama is said to have built a bridge across the sea to reach Lanka and rescue his wife Sita.
